D'Amato U.S. Courthouse is located at the intersection of Exit 43A of the Southern State Parkway and Carleton Avenue, in Central Islip. BY CAR: From points west (Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau): • Via the Long Island Expressway: to Exit 53 (Sagtikos Parkway South). South to Exit S4 (Southern State Parkway eastbound - left lane exit), proceed as described below for Southern State Parkway. • Via the Southern State Parkway: to Exit 43A (Central Islip-East Islip)(SC17). Bear right onto Spur Drive South. Follow signs for Courts. Carleton Avenue (SC17) North over Parkway. Right at light onto Spur Drive North. Parking lot entrance is on the left. |

• Via the Northern State Parkway: to the last exit, Veterans Memorial Highway (Rte. 454). East to Wheeler Road (Rt. 111). Proceed South approx. 1 mile, go under Long Island Expressway overpass, bear left onto Wheeler Road (SC17), going south - cross Suffolk Avenue, Wheeler Road becomes Carleton Avenue. Continue south to Spur Drive North. Left onto Spur Drive North. Parking lot entrance is on the left.
From points east:
• Via the Long Island Expressway: to Exit 56 (Rte. 111 southbound). Turn left at the first traffic light, Wheeler Road. Bear left onto Wheeler Road (SC17), going South - cross Suffolk Avenue, Wheeler Road becomes Carleton Avenue. Continue south to Spur Drive North. Left onto Spur Drive North. Parking lot entrance is on the left.
• Via Sunrise Highway: To Southern State Parkway West - New York to Exit 43A (East Islip-Central Islip). Left at light onto Spur Drive North. Parking lot entrance is on the right.
From points north:
• Proceed either to Northern State Parkway, Long Island Expressway or Southern State Parkway, and follow appropriate directions above, depending on whether you enter Parkway or Expressway east or west of Central Islip.
BY RAIL:
The Central Islip station of the Ronkonkoma Branch of the Long Island Railroad leaves you about 2-1/2 miles north of the Courthouse. Suffolk County Transit’s Bus Route 3C (southbound) will take you from the railroad station to the Cohalan Court Complex. Taxis are also available at the station.
