Pursuant to Title 28, Sec. 1930 of the U.S. Code, checks returned to the court for lack of funds in the account are subject to a $53.00 service charge, over and above the amount of the original check. Additionally, if an attorney's check is returned for lack of funds, the attorney will be required to make all future payments in the form of certified check, money order or cash. An exception will be made only if it can be demonstrated that a bank error was the cause of the return.
