The Department of Justice has announced that there are sufficient funds available for transfer under 11 U.S.C. § 589a(f)(1) to pay chapter 7 trustee compensation under 11 U.S.C. § 330(e) in applicable fiscal year (FY) 2024 cases. In accordance with 11U.S.C. § 330(e)(4) and the judiciary’s regulations governing section 330(e) compensation, the amount for payment in applicable FY 2024 cases is $60. 

Chapter 7 Trustees should review all assigned cases filed on or after October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024, or Chapter 11, 12, or 13 cases filed on or after January 12, 2021 that are subsequently converted to Chapter 7 on or after October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024 and use the Trustee Services Rendered Pursuant to §330(e) event to certify cases eligible for payment. 

The section 330(e) payments of $60.00 per eligible case for cases filed or converted during fiscal year 2024 will commence no earlier than January 2026.
