Loss Mitigation Available in Cases Assigned to Judges Grossman and Scarcella

By General Order dated December 8, 2009, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York adopted a Loss Mitigation Program to provide a comprehensive court supervised program to facilitate consensual resolutions for debtors whose residential real property is at risk of foreclosure. At the time of the adoption of this order, the Loss Mitigation Program was available in all individual cases assigned under Chapter 7, 11, 12 or 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. Chief Judge Carla E. Craig, Judge Elizabeth S. Stong, and Judge Nancy Hershey Lord are participating in the program.

Effective immediately, the Loss Mitigation Program will also apply in all individual cases assigned under Chapter 7, 11, 12 or 13 of the Bankruptcy Code to Judge Robert E. Grossman and Judge Louis A. Scarcella.
