The Judges of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York are pleased to announce that Louis A. Scarcella was sworn in as a bankruptcy judge in this district on May 16, 2014. The swearing in ceremony took place at the Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse in New York. Chief Circuit Judge Robert Katzmann administered the oath.

Judge Scarcella will begin sitting in Central Islip next week, and will take the chambers and courtroom on the seventh floor. Assisting Judge Scarcella will be Winnie Tsang-Louie and Nicholas Quesenberry, Law Clerks, and Christine Moffett, Courtroom Deputy Clerk.

The EDNY bankruptcy court family extends a warm welcome to Judge Scarcella.
