The Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York is a Unit of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and covers the five counties of Richmond (Staten Island), Kings (Brooklyn), Queens, Nassau and Suffolk of New York State.

The Bankruptcy Court is committed to provide the people of this District and all related parties with appropriate access and services required by law or by official regulation.

This web site is developed by the Office of the Clerk, with the approval of the Court, in order to provide the necessary information needed to permit the bankruptcy process to properly proceed.

The mission of the Clerk’s Office is to provide support and assistance to the Court, Practicing Bar and the General Public with the filing, handling and processing of official records and documents needed in the bankruptcy process; with the noticing and dissemination of information to all the necessary parties participating in this same process; and, to officially document and accurately record the activities of the Court thereby assisting in the proper establishment of the bankruptcy process in all matters presented to the Court.
